Someone Kept Painting a Woman’s Garage Door Black Every Night – She Assumed It Was Some Kid’s Prank Until She Installed Security Cameras

I crouched beside the garage and examined the abandoned paint roller and tray. The paint looked fresh, and whoever had done this had clearly arrived prepared. This wasn’t a random accident or a careless prank. Someone had deliberately returned three nights in a row to destroy our work.

Toby suggested taking everything to the police, but I wanted to understand why someone would go to such lengths. Our neighborhood competition had become surprisingly competitive over the years, with some residents treating the prize as if it were a championship trophy.

The next morning, I reviewed the footage again, searching for details I might have missed. Although the woman’s face was blurry, the camera had captured her clothing, movements, and the direction she took when leaving our property. I saved the recordings and decided not to confront anyone until I had stronger evidence.

That afternoon, I began asking myself an uncomfortable question: Was our garage really the only target? If someone was determined to sabotage our chances in the competition, perhaps there was more happening around the neighborhood than we realized.

I checked the security footage from the previous nights and noticed something that made my stomach tighten. On each occasion, the person had approached from the same direction and disappeared along the same route. Whoever it was knew the neighborhood well enough to move around without attracting attention.

Instead of repainting the garage immediately, Toby and I decided to document everything. We photographed the damage, saved the recordings, and kept the paint tray as evidence. We also contacted the authorities to report the repeated vandalism.

Meanwhile, I continued preparing our garden for the competition. I refused to let whoever was responsible take away the satisfaction of months of hard work. The garage might have been covered in black paint, but our roses were blooming, the hedges were immaculate, and the rest of our property remained beautiful.

As judging day approached, I still didn’t know whether Kelsie had acted alone or whether someone else was involved. I had my suspicions, but I wasn’t going to treat a blurry recording as conclusive proof.

One thing was certain: I would no longer accept friendly smiles as evidence that everyone had good intentions. If the person responsible wanted to turn a neighborhood competition into a personal battle, I was determined to handle the situation with evidence rather than revenge.
