Resurfaced Photos Highlight Trump and Epstein’s Past Ties
Donald Trump’s past friendship with disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein is well-documented, but recently resurfaced photos have reignited scrutiny over their relationship.
During his campaign, Trump pledged to release files related to Epstein if elected again. In February 2025, newly appointed Attorney General Pamela Bondi released what was called the “first phase” of declassified Epstein files. However, the DOJ later said there was “no basis” to release additional files, and the FBI denied the existence of any “client list,” sparking speculation about withheld information.
Adding to the controversy, newly revealed photos show Epstein attending Trump’s 1993 wedding to Marla Maples at the Plaza Hotel. Another image from 1999 captures the two chatting at a Victoria’s Secret fashion show in New York.
Photographer Dafydd Jones, who covered the wedding, told CNN he had previously photographed Trump and Epstein together at the Harley Davidson Café in 1993. “I wish now I took more of him with Trump,” he admitted, noting the negatives were lost but contact sheet images remained.
Trump reacted angrily when contacted by CNN, accusing them of spreading “fake news” before abruptly ending the call. The White House later released a statement through Communications Director Steven Cheung, dismissing the images as “out-of-context frame grabs” from public events.
Cheung emphasized that Trump had banned Epstein from Mar-a-Lago, calling the renewed attention “a continuation of fake news stories concocted by the Democrats and the liberal media.”
Photos of Trump and Epstein together date back to the 1980s and early 2000s, though their relationship reportedly soured years before Epstein’s 2019 arrest and subsequent death.
The release of the images has revived questions about how much Trump truly knew—and what he may still be withholding.
