UK’s Youngest Parents: Where Are April and Nathan Now?
In 2010, April Webster and Nathan Fishbourne made headlines as the UK’s youngest parents. At just 14, they welcomed their son Jamie, sparking media attention, public debate, and family challenges.
Their relationship began as classmates in Caerphilly, South Wales. April became pregnant at 13, a day before her 14th birthday. Both families were shocked. April felt too embarrassed to tell her parents, and Nathan admitted they hadn’t used protection.
Despite their youth, both families supported them. Nathan’s father, Ron, said, “There’s no way we’re going to abandon him.” April’s mother, Maria, let her daughter decide whether to continue the pregnancy.
Jamie was born via cesarean and needed surgery for a rare condition affecting his esophagus. After 11 days in the hospital, he was healthy enough to go home. April and Jamie lived with her parents and sister, while Nathan lived nearby with his family.
April was committed to motherhood, saying, “I’m going to give him everything he ever wants because he’s perfect.” However, her relationship with Nathan faded, and by 2014, they were no longer in contact.
April left school to raise Jamie and later had two more children, Ava and Rowan. Now 28, she goes by April Lianna and is happily in a relationship with Jake Jones.
Nathan, too, has moved on. He got engaged to Samantha in 2023 and has built a new life with his growing family.
Despite their early hardships, both April and Nathan seem to be thriving. They’ve built stable, loving homes for their children and remain part of Jamie’s life.
Their journey reminds us that early parenthood is challenging—but with support, resilience, and love, it’s possible to grow, heal, and succeed.
