Eight years have passed since one of Tanzania’s darkest days — the Karatu school bus tragedy that claimed 32 young lives, along with two teachers and the bus driver. The sorrow of that morning on May 6, 2017, still lingers in the hearts of many.

The victims were students from Lucky Vincent Primary School in Arusha, traveling to take a mock national examination. For many, it was meant to be a proud step in their education.
