My husband received this photo from me, then immediately wants a divorce…

After ten years of marriage, my husband suddenly announced he wanted a divorce. He said he’d been unhappy for years and wanted to put all his energy into his career. I suggested selling our house so we could both move on, but he insisted we shouldn’t because the low mortgage benefited him financially. Before I even had time to process everything, he was already dating someone else.

I was stunned by how quickly everything changed. But the situation became even more unbelievable when I came home one day and found his new girlfriend standing in my kitchen, wearing my pajamas. For a moment, I could barely speak. It felt like stepping into a version of my life that no longer belonged to me.

“Jessica?” I said, my voice shaking. She looked embarrassed, clearly aware of how wrong the situation was. “I… I didn’t know how to tell you,” she said softly, glancing toward the hallway like she expected him to appear and explain everything for her.

Before I could respond, he walked in. His expression was caught somewhere between guilt and irritation, like he thought I was overreacting. “I thought it would be easier this way,” he said, as if that justified what I was looking at.

“Easier for who?” I demanded. Every word felt heavier than the last. I couldn’t understand how he had decided my feelings didn’t matter.

The room felt small and tense, and even Jessica seemed uncomfortable being pulled into the conflict. She quietly stepped aside, clearly wishing she were anywhere else.

Meanwhile, he kept trying to act casual, as if this situation were normal. That was the moment I realized just how far apart we had grown, and how little respect he had left for our marriage.

Standing there, I felt hurt—but also clearer than ever that I deserved better than this chaos.
