Miranda, an immigrant working hard to rebuild her life, finds herself devastated after a public breakup with her manipulative ex-boyfriend, Colin. Trying to hold her job together at a restaurant, she arrives late one morning and is warned by her boss, Michael, to separate personal issues from work. Later that evening, to her horror, Colin walks in with Leslie—the woman he left her for—and she is forced to serve them despite begging not to.
Humiliation follows swiftly. Colin and Leslie mock Miranda cruelly, drawing attention from other diners. Colin drops his fork on purpose, forcing her to pick it up, and then flips his plate of stew onto her. Ashamed and hurt, Miranda flees to the back of the restaurant where she breaks down in tears. There, Chef Robert comforts her and listens as she reveals the dark past that haunts her.
Years earlier, Miranda was drugged and set up by Colin and Leslie during college, destroying her academic future. They had made a cruel bet to ruin her trust, and it worked. Seeing them again reawakens that trauma—but also sparks something stronger: resolve.
With Robert’s help, Miranda concocts a revenge dish—extra spicy stew and a ghost pepper-laced napkin. Colin unknowingly wipes his face and quickly begins to suffer. The crowd watches as his humiliation mirrors what he once dished out. Leslie storms out, humiliated herself.
When Colin accuses Miranda of sabotage, Michael defends her, subtly acknowledging the truth. In the end, Miranda doesn’t just serve food—she serves justice. And finally, she feels whole again.
