Mummy’s Bringing You Home, Son” — Ben Needham’s Mother Breaks Silence After DNA Results Finally Released

The mother of missing Ben Needham, Kerry Needham, has received confirmation that a Danish man who claimed to be her son is not a DNA match. Although the news was deeply disappointing, Kerry remains determined to continue her decades-long search for Ben, who vanished in 1991 at just 21 months old.

Kerry shared with The Mirror that while she felt the man likely wasn’t her son, she still held on to a glimmer of hope. “There’s always that chance,” she said, expressing how every lead, no matter how unlikely, brings renewed anticipation. Despite this latest setback, she urges the public to continue coming forward if they have any suspicions.

The Sheffield mother has made it clear that no piece of information is too small and that all tips are treated with confidentiality. She remains open to DNA testing in any future cases. Kerry’s focus now is on rebuilding her strength and hope to push forward with her campaign to find her missing son.

Ben disappeared on the Greek island of Kos in 1991 while playing outside a derelict farmhouse that his grandparents were renovating. His family had moved to Greece from Sheffield in hopes of a better life. Since that day, Kerry and her family have explored countless leads across the world, believing that Ben may have been abducted.

The Danish man recently came forward, saying his grandparents told him he had been taken from Kos and hidden for years. However, this is not the first time Kerry has been through a situation like this. In fact, it’s the third DNA comparison this year, and one of many she’s faced over the decades.

The DNA used in these comparisons comes from a sample taken from Ben at birth during a routine heel-prick test. Despite repeated heartbreak, Kerry’s resolve remains unshaken: she will never stop searching for her son.
