Kat Timpf has announced she’s taking a brief break from Gutfeld! to undergo another surgery related to her breast cancer treatment. Earlier this year, the Fox News personality revealed her diagnosis, which came during her pregnancy.
“I’m lucky that we found the cancer so early; I’m lucky to be my son’s mom,” she shared on Instagram in February. “The little dude absolutely rules — and not just because he might have saved my life.”
Following a double mastectomy, Timpf returned to television in May, joining Greg Gutfeld on What Did I Miss on Fox Nation. However, she’s stepping away again for a few weeks for another operation.
“The best case scenario of breast cancer can involve quite a road to feeling whole again,” she said on social media. “Just so the internet can’t come up with theories about where I am, that’s where I am.”
She thanked fans for their support, writing, “Huge thanks to those of you who have taken the time to offer me words of kindness and support. I love you all so much.”
Despite receiving encouragement, Timpf has faced criticism from online trolls questioning her parenting and cancer diagnosis. In March, she responded: “I swear I know more about my case than people online.”
She was also judged for attending Coachella after giving birth. “One fun thing I’ve noticed about being a mom is if you ever post with your baby—or God forbid, having fun without your baby—people are like, ‘Where’s her baby?’” she said in April. “I’m starting to think the only way to be a parent and avoid backlash is to be a dad.”
Timpf continues to share her journey with honesty and resilience, reminding others that healing isn’t just physical—it’s emotional too.
