A Fox News report claims mainstream media outlets suppressed stories about President Joe Biden’s mental fitness and his son Hunter’s legal issues. Critics allege the media shielded Biden during his 2020 campaign and presidency, avoiding negative coverage.

Former Politico reporter Marc Caputo said his editors killed a story in 2019 about Hunter Biden’s tax lien tied to Burisma. Later, during the 2020 campaign, Politico allegedly discouraged reporting on Hunter’s laptop, labeling it “Russian disinfo,” echoing an open letter signed by 51 former intel officials.

CNN reportedly avoided the laptop story, and journalist Tara Palmeri said her reporting on Hunter’s gun incident was delayed, suggesting bias.

Concerns over President Biden’s mental sharpness surfaced early in his term. A Wall Street Journal report noted Biden’s staff adjusted his schedule due to fatigue and inconsistent performance, with some reporters saying he often appeared coached, stiff, and unsteady in public.
