Creating a dream home often follows traditional paths, but for Will Breaux, those paths didn’t align with his vision. After years of searching for an architect who could understand his ideas, he realized no one could fully capture what he imagined.

Rather than abandoning his dream, Will made a bold choice: he would design and build the home himself. With no formal construction background, he began researching alternative building methods and discovered the potential of shipping containers.

This unconventional decision became the foundation of his future home on McGowen Street in Houston, Texas. By repurposing shipping containers, Will found a way to combine creativity, sustainability, and functionality in a single structure.

The finished design spans approximately 2,600 square feet and blends industrial character with modern living. The containers provide durability and flexibility, allowing for a layout that feels both distinctive and practical.

Arranged into a striking three-story configuration, the home features large windows, clean lines, and open spaces that bring in natural light. One of its standout elements is a rooftop deck designed for relaxation and entertaining.

Inside, the first floor is fully complete and includes a media room, a bar, a guest space, and a studio. Each area reflects Will’s personality and was planned with purpose and attention to detail.

The upper floors are still being finalized, but the structure already reveals its potential. Future living areas, workspaces, and additional rooms will further expand the home’s versatility.
