His parents believe they know why his reaction was so quick

Not all heroes wear capes—some are just quick-thinking kids with sharp instincts.

Thirteen-year-old Dillon Reeves from Michigan was riding his school bus like any other day when he noticed something strange. The bus began to swerve, and students started to panic. Sensing something was wrong, Dillon rushed to the front and saw the driver had passed out, her hands off the wheel and foot off the pedals.

Without hesitation, he grabbed the steering wheel and slowly pressed the brake, bringing the bus to a safe stop. He then told another student to call 911.

Thanks to his calm and brave actions, no one was hurt. Dillon’s heroism was praised across the country—proof that courage comes in all ages and sizes.
