Emirates Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Dubai; All Passengers Safe
An Emirates flight from Thiruvananthapuram, India, made an emergency landing at Dubai International Airport on Wednesday. All 300 people on board — 282 passengers and 18 crew — were safely evacuated.
Tragically, a firefighter died while responding to the incident, and 10 individuals were hospitalized. Smoke and fire were visible at the scene.
Flight EK521 may have encountered wind shear during its descent. Emirates has not confirmed the cause, but Boeing and local authorities have launched an investigation.
Airport operations were disrupted for several hours but have since returned to normal.
