Donald Trump dementia fears spike as doctor makes new dire claims

Donald Trump’s health has long been a topic of public interest and scrutiny. While White House physician Dr. Sean Barbabella reported in April that Trump is in “excellent physical and mental health,” some experts disagree. At 78, Trump is the oldest U.S. president to begin a second term, raising questions about his fitness for office.

Dr. Barbabella’s report stated Trump weighs 224 pounds and is 75 inches tall. He underwent routine scans of his heart, eyes, ears, and more. A colonoscopy in 2024 revealed diverticulitis and a benign polyp, with a follow-up scheduled in three years.

Trump’s prescriptions reportedly include medication for cholesterol, heart prevention, and a skin condition. He also had bilateral cataract surgery and maintains what the doctor called an “active lifestyle.”

Despite this, psychologist Dr. John Gartner recently expressed serious doubts about Trump’s cognitive and physical health. Speaking to The Dean Obeidallah Show, Gartner cited signs of declining motor coordination, including difficulty walking, stumbling, and an abnormal gait.

He pointed to footage comparing Trump’s past athleticism to his recent stumbles. “He really struggles to climb stairs,” Gartner said, noting a peculiar right leg swing that some neurologists consider a sign of frontotemporal dementia.

The leg swing, which appears as Trump swinging his right leg in a semicircle, is viewed by some as a diagnostic clue. Dr. Gartner and neurologist Dr. Zoffman believe this symptom strongly indicates frontotemporal dementia.

While official reports claim Trump is healthy, concerns from medical observers persist.
