Carrie Underwood opened up about her struggles with faith after suffering three miscarriages. During her fourth pregnancy, following the birth of her son Isaiah, now five, she feared she wouldn’t carry the baby to term again.

In episode two of Mike And Carrie: God & Country, she shared how she had “had enough” and was left feeling guilty for being angry at God. “I had an honest conversation with God, and I told him how I felt. I was hurt. I was a little angry, and, of course, you feel guilty for being mad at your creator,” she said tearfully.

Carrie expressed that she needed clarity, telling God, “We needed something. We needed to have a baby or not, ever, because I couldn’t keep going down that road anymore.”

Thankfully, her fears were unfounded, and she gave birth to her son Jacob in January 2019.
