Baby mocked for having white hair – years later, he looks perfectly happy and healthy.

When Patricia Williams gave birth to her son Redd in 2012, she noticed his striking white hair but didn’t think much of it—until he began moving his eyes side to side. After some research, she and her husband learned these were signs of albinism. Doctors later confirmed Redd had Oculocutaneous Albinism Type 1 (OCA1), a rare condition affecting 1 in 17,000 people.

Their second son, Rockwell, was also born with albinism. While both boys are healthy and thriving, their appearance attracted online bullying, especially when a photo of newborn Rockwell went viral as a meme. Instead of hiding, Patricia became an advocate, educating others about albinism.

Despite challenges, including visual issues and sun sensitivity, both boys are doing well. Redd had successful eye surgery and now attends public school. Today, Patricia continues to spread awareness and celebrate her sons’ unique beauty, turning ignorance into understanding and love.
