A girl on the plane threw her hair over my seat, blocking my screen: I had to teach the rude woman a lesson

After an exhausting stretch of work, I eagerly boarded a flight, hoping to enjoy a peaceful escape. My plan was simple—relax, watch a movie, and finally enjoy a few hours of quiet. Unfortunately, my aspirations were quickly derailed by the actions of the passenger seated in front of me.

A young woman, likely in her twenties, carelessly threw her long hair over the back of her seat, letting it drape across my tray table and block my screen. I politely asked her to move it, and she initially complied. However, within minutes, her hair had returned, once again invading my space.

Not wanting to create conflict, I gave her another chance, but she ignored me completely. Something in me snapped—not in rage, but in resolve. I decided this situation needed a creative, memorable response. Calmly, I retrieved three pieces of chewing gum from my bag, chewed them, and placed them—strand by strand—into her hair without her noticing.

About fifteen minutes later, she discovered the gum. Horrified, she demanded to know what had happened. I responded coldly, calling it the result of her arrogance. She called me insane, and I countered that her behavior was disrespectful. I then offered two options: deal with it herself or accept my help with a pair of manicure scissors.

Visibly shaken, she chose silence. She tied her hair in a bun and didn’t bother me again. Finally, I was able to enjoy my movie and the serenity I had long been waiting for.
