Following Brandon Blackstock’s death on August 7, 2025, at age 48, Reba McEntire’s past remarks about her stepson have resurfaced. In 2021, Reba spoke with neutral support about Brandon’s divorce from Kelly Clarkson, expressing love for both and refusing to take sides.

Reba, who was married to Brandon’s father Narvel Blackstock for 26 years, always considered Brandon family despite their separation. She said, “He’s been my son forever. I love them both with all my heart.”
