Republican Illinois Rep. Mary Miller is calling for former first lady Jill Biden to face criminal charges for elder abuse following Joe Biden’s recent cancer diagnosis and reports of significant mental decline during his presidency.

“Jill Biden was complicit in covering up Joe Biden’s mental and physical decline,” Miller posted on X. “She should face CRIMINAL CHARGES for elder abuse!!”

Her statement comes after revelations that the former president’s health may have been deteriorating for years, raising questions about transparency during his time in office.

In an interview with The Post, geriatric medical specialist Elaine Healy said Biden’s condition displays “telltale signs of elder abuse.”

Healy explained that while bruising or physical injuries are obvious indicators, non-violent actions can also qualify as abuse. These may include depriving someone of food, leading to weight loss, or using intimidation that results in social withdrawal and personality changes.

The allegations have sparked fierce debate in political circles, with some seeing them as a partisan attack, while others argue they highlight a serious ethical and legal issue.

Critics of the former first lady suggest she may have shielded the public from the extent of her husband’s decline, enabling him to remain in office despite potential incapacity.

Supporters of Jill Biden reject the claims, framing them as politically motivated and lacking substantive evidence.
