Poisoned Easter Eggs Sent To Ex’s New Family — 7-Year-Old Tragically Dies

In Brazil, 35-year-old Jordélia Pereira Barbosa was arrested after allegedly poisoning Easter eggs and sending them to her ex-boyfriend’s new family, leading to the tragic death of a 7-year-old boy. Barbosa, reportedly driven by jealousy and revenge, tampered with the chocolates, which were delivered to her ex’s new partner, Mirian Lira. After Lira’s children ate the eggs, her son, Luis Fernando Rocha Silva, fell ill and died at the hospital. Lira and her 13-year-old daughter remain in critical condition.

Police found evidence linking Barbosa to the crime, including purchase receipts and CCTV footage showing her buying the eggs. Barbosa denied adding poison but admitted to purchasing the chocolate. Forensic tests are underway to confirm poisoning as the cause of death. Authorities believe the crime was motivated by revenge, and Barbosa remains the primary suspect.
