Country Singer Pat Green Suffers Tragic Loss in Texas Floods
Country music star Pat Green is mourning the loss of family members following the devastating floods that struck Central Texas over the weekend.
In a heartfelt message posted on social media, Green shared that his family had endured a “heartbreaking and deeply personal loss.” He expressed gratitude for the outpouring of support and asked for privacy and space as they grieve.
“We are grieving alongside countless Texans whose lives have been upended by this tragedy,” he wrote. “Thank you for your love, prayers and compassion.”
In a separate post, Green’s wife Kori Green revealed that the victims were Pat’s younger brother John, his wife Julia, and their two children. All four were swept away by the rapidly rising floodwaters.
“We are heartbroken and anxiously waiting for all of them to be found,” Kori wrote. “Thank you for your prayers 💗.”
Sadly, authorities have confirmed that both John and Julia have died, while the children remain missing.
The family was staying at the Blue Oak RV Park in Kerr County when the Guadalupe River overflowed due to heavy rainfall.
The tragedy has sparked a wave of support from the country music community. Fellow Texas artist Robert Earl Keen has announced a benefit concert to aid recovery efforts for flood victims.
As the search continues, the Greens have asked the public to keep their family and others affected in their thoughts and prayers.
