Donald Trump dementia fears spike as doctor makes new dire claims

Questions Rise Over Trump’s Health Despite Clean Medical Report

Donald Trump has long claimed he’s in excellent health, a stance backed by official medical evaluations. In April, Trump’s physician, Dr. Sean Barbabella, released a report affirming the former president is “fully fit” to serve. At 6’3″ and 224 pounds, Trump passed routine exams with normal results and was described as in “robust” physical and neurological health.

Barbabella credited Trump’s active lifestyle and noted treatments like cataract surgery and a benign polyp found during a colonoscopy. Trump echoed the findings, telling reporters, “I took a cognitive test… and got every answer right.”

But some experts are voicing concern. Dr. John Gartner, a psychologist and former Johns Hopkins professor, recently claimed Trump may show signs of frontotemporal dementia (FTD), a degenerative condition that affects motor skills and behavior.

Gartner compared Trump’s current physical movements with past video footage, noting a noticeable decline. “He does trip and fall,” Gartner said, referencing Trump’s difficulty climbing stairs and a peculiar “leg swing” that could suggest neurological issues.

One neurologist reportedly told Gartner that Trump’s gait is a strong indicator of FTD. Online speculation has further intensified, with videos suggesting Trump may be wearing a catheter, though this remains unconfirmed.

Trump and his team have not responded to these claims. For now, the April medical report remains the only official statement. Still, the situation raises ongoing questions about transparency around leaders’ health, especially as Trump continues his political pursuits.
