Panic Erupts on Flight After Rabbit Causes Engine Explosion

A United Airlines flight was forced to make an emergency landing after a rabbit became lodged in the right engine, causing a terrifying midair incident.

The Boeing 737, flying from Denver to Edmonton with 159 people aboard, experienced a loud bang shortly after takeoff. Flames burst from the engine, and the plane shook violently.

Passenger Scott Wolff described a “tremendous shake and a loud blast,” though the aircraft continued to climb. Soon after, bursts of fire were seen behind the right wing, sparking panic.

Video footage showed travelers rushing to look out the windows. Screams filled the cabin, with babies crying and one woman repeatedly alerting crew to the fire.

Despite the chaos, the pilot managed to return safely to Denver. All passengers were later transferred to another aircraft, which completed the trip without further incident.
