Someone Kept Painting a Woman’s Garage Door Black Every Night – She Assumed It Was Some Kid’s Prank Until She Installed Security Cameras

Someone kept ruining my freshly painted garage door just days before our neighborhood’s biggest beautification competition. When I discovered who was responsible, I planned a surprise they would never forget.

On Friday morning, I discovered black paint covering the bottom half of our white garage door. My husband, Toby, suspected teenagers. We repainted it that weekend, but Sunday morning, the paint was back. By Monday, someone had vandalized it for the third time. With the competition approaching, I installed security cameras.

At 2:30 a.m., my phone alerted me to movement. A figure wearing a dark hoodie was painting our garage. When the person turned, I recognized our neighbor Kelsie. Unfortunately, the footage was blurry, so she could easily deny everything. Determined to find proof, I visited Frank, the local hardware store owner.

Frank revealed that John had recently purchased the same black paint, accompanied by Joyce. Reviewing the recordings, I noticed different clothing and footwear left behind during each incident. I realized Kelsie, John, and Joyce had been taking turns vandalizing our property to sabotage my chances of winning the competition.

Instead of confronting them, I devised a plan. I announced that Toby and I were giving up and invited everyone over before the judges arrived. My neighbors eagerly accepted, clearly delighted that their scheme seemed successful.

On competition morning, Toby entertained our guests while I prepared my surprise. When the judges arrived, I proudly showed them my beautiful flower beds and carefully trimmed hedges. Then we reached the garage, still covered in black paint. I smiled and explained that it was part of a neighborhood art project.

Next, I led everyone to John’s house, where a paint-covered work boot decorated his garden. At Joyce’s house, a scarecrow wore the white shirt abandoned near my garage. Finally, I brought everyone to Kelsie’s house and played the security footage on a projector.

Kelsie protested, but John accidentally revealed their secret. Joyce admitted Kelsie had organized everything, and the three began blaming one another. The head judge disqualified all three for deliberately sabotaging a competitor. He then warned them that the police might become involved. Watching their smug expressions disappear, I realized my revenge had been sweeter than winning any garden competition.
