When the narrator’s parents died in a tragic accident, he became the legal guardian of his fourteen-year-old brother, Liam. Despite his own grief, he devoted himself to raising Liam and creating a stable home. Over the next few years, the brothers developed an especially strong bond.

That night, the brothers brought Liam’s belongings back inside and unpacked everything together. Despite the painful situation, they eventually laughed, finding comfort in the fact that they still had each other. The experience strengthened their bond even further.

The narrator learned that love cannot survive without respect for the people and responsibilities that matter most. Melissa had revealed her true character, and Liam reminded him that family means standing together when life becomes difficult. For the brothers, the lesson was simple: family comes first, and they will continue facing life as a team.
