The small town of Saucier, Mississippi, is in mourning following the tragic death of 6-year-old Gracelyn Vick. Gracelyn disappeared Sunday afternoon after going outside to play. When she didn’t return, her family alerted authorities, sparking a massive search effort involving local law enforcement, search teams, drones, and community volunteers.

Later that evening, Gracelyn’s body was discovered near her home. Investigators secured the area, collecting evidence late into the night. An autopsy is underway to determine her cause of death. So far, no arrests have been made, and authorities have not confirmed foul play.

Gracelyn’s death adds to a string of devastating losses for her mother, Vicky Lynn Hutcherson, who previously lost her 13-year-old stepdaughter in a 2024 car crash and her 18-year-old son in 2021.
