Michael Bolton, 72, has been diagnosed with glioblastoma, an aggressive brain cancer, following a series of alarming incidents during a family bowling night in late 2023. His daughter, Taryn, noticed unusual behavior—bowling out of turn and a sudden fall—that led to further medical evaluation.

Despite ongoing performances and public appearances, Bolton had been experiencing nausea, balance issues, and confusion. An MRI shortly after Thanksgiving revealed a brain tumor. He underwent immediate surgery, and pathology confirmed the cancer. Fortunately, doctors fully removed the tumor.

Since then, Bolton has completed chemotherapy and radiation and now undergoes regular MRI scans, which have shown no new growth as of April 2025.

Fans and fellow artists have expressed overwhelming support online, applauding Bolton’s strength and courage. His family chose to share his story to raise awareness about the early, often overlooked signs of brain cancer, offering hope and encouraging early detection.
