On April 6, 2025, Reagan Dougan, 27, and her four children tragically died in a crash on I-95 in McIntosh County, Georgia. Reagan was traveling from North Carolina to Florida with her kids when their rental SUV collided with a sedan, struck a guardrail, and caught fire.
All five family members were pronounced dead at the scene. Reagan had been a devoted mother, known for her kindness, and had recently supported a neighbor after a hurricane.
A GoFundMe was created to help bring the family back to Florida for burial, raising over $26,000. Tributes poured in for the family, including from those who remembered Reagan’s warmth and love for her children.
Just days earlier, in Frankfort, Kentucky, nine-year-old Gabriel Andrews tragically drowned in floodwaters while walking to his bus. His loss, along with the Dougan family’s, left communities devastated.
